A lot of people think that Park City is uber expensive and that dining there is impossible with price tags that make you want to faint. Yeah, you can find that there, but you can also make it affordable without losing out on the dining experience.
There are so many restaurants with great food to choose from, especially on Park City’s historic main street, but when it comes to dinner and travelling on a budget, these are the best restaurants in Park City.
Boneyard Saloon and Wine Dive
Address: 1251 Kearns Blvd (at The Yard) – Park City, Utah
Not located on the main drag of downtown Park City but more on the outskirts is Boneyard Saloon and Wine Dive. If you are staying right in the heart of Park City there are plenty of buses to get you out this way.
This place is always hopping, and they don’t take reservations so you may have to wait. But it’s worth it! The atmosphere is electric with booths and tables in what appears to be an old car garage.
When you look at it online it looks like it’s two separate restaurants but it’s not. Both menus are available no matter where in the building you sit, so don’t worry if you couldn’t decide from which menu you wanted to order from.
They also have an extensive drinks list, with a good list of beers on tap and of course a solid wine list. I love a nice glass of wine but for the little you get and the price you pay I just can’t justify it. This place is no exception, a glass of wine is not cheap.
I highly recommend the fig, goat cheese and pepperoni pizza. I am not generally a fan of pepperoni, but I really wanted the other ingredients, and it was just too good.
If you are thinking of bringing the kids, sorry, this place is for 21 and over only.
501 Main
Address: 501 Main St, Park City, UT 84060
This restaurant does take reservations and you should probably make one, otherwise you could be waiting a while. I was initially drawn in by the music they had blasting outside (Metallica gets me every time). They also have poutine on their menu, which as a Canadian makes me very excited.
Located in the center of historic main street this restaurant serves American food, with several vegan options. You can just pick your own meal from their main dinner menu or do a Prix Fix, which is always fun.
I had a mushroom bowtie pasta that was perfect, made with super fresh ingredients. The place looks like an ultra-fancy, upscale restaurant, but it doesn’t act it. It’s family friendly, relaxed, and you can find a good diversity of people from ski bums just getting off the mountain to families on vacation.
Grub Steak
Address: 2093 Sidewinder Dr, Park City, UT 84060
Grub Steak has a higher price point, but don’t be afraid to share. The meals are huge! The steaks are next level. Grub Steak is a great place for special occasions, like a fancy date night, and can get really expensive if you order individual meals.
But it’s so worth it and the best way to make this more budget friendly is to share one of the main items. Trust me they are big enough for two.
It is a good idea to make a reservation because this one’s popular and considered the #1 steakhouse in Utah (according to them). This one is my top recommendation for best Park City restaurants. It’s not fine dining, definitely has a very relaxed feel and is extremely inviting, with top notch food.
PC Pho
Address: 1890 Bonanza Dr, Park City, UT 84060
There is nothing like a good bowl of Pho after a day on the mountain. Especially when it’s really cold out. Located in a strip mall, PC Pho is nothing special to look at but inside the staff are extremely friendly and the food is delicious!
The fried noodles are the perfect meal if you’re not feeling the Pho that day. I wouldn’t recommend getting the tea, although good it comes in a to-go cup and is just a teabag in hot water, nothing special. I was expecting a teapot, like in other places but was sadly mistaken.
This restaurant is a great budget friendly, family-owned restaurant option.
Legends Bar and Grill
Address: 1345 Lowell Ave, Park City, UT 84060
Looking for a place right on the mountain? This place has amazing Asian inspired nachos.
Another busy spot, this one is right at the base of the mountain, but does include outdoor dining if you wanted to sit outside on those sunny days. Inside the bar and kitchen are open for all to see and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed.
You can make things as budget friendly or as expensive as you want, depending on what you order. The staff is super friendly and for such a busy spot, totally on top of things.
Park City Roadhouse Grill
1900 Park Ave, Park City, UT 84060
A historic site at the “Gateway to Park City” this is a hot spot for both tourists and locals that boasts locally sourced ingredients and is a must stop during the ski season, and really any season. It offers hand crafted cocktails with locally distilled spirits and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
No name saloon
447 Main St, Park City, UT 84060
This place is so cool! It is the perfect place to stop for a drink or two after a long day on the mountain. There’s shuffle board and crazy things hanging off the walls and ceilings. There is an upstairs outdoor patio area, better for the summer months or on a really nice day in the winter months.
I would stop at this place every day after a day on the mountain, just because it is so fun and really is a great spot. They also have some bar food options too, like the bison burger, and is a great option for dinner if you just want to relax with a few beers and some friends.
Concluding Thoughts
Park City has the perfect mix of dinner options depending on what you are feeling that day. From authentic Pho to Spanish Tapas to American steakhouses. There’s also a couple of breweries (though few, I mean it is still Utah and they don’t always have the best options for craft beer) and several coffee shops, like the Silver Star Café and Bridge Cafe.
After a good meal and a nice walk around Park City, these are the Top Mountains to check out in Utah during your ski and snowboard vacation.
